ContributorNetwork - COMMENTARY | When Paula Deen, self-proclaimed queen of all food Southern-style, announced Jan. 18 that not only does she have Type 2 diabetes but she is going to be a spokeswoman for the pharmaceutical company that produces the diabetes medication she takes, the public was only partially surprised. After all, the recipes she cheerfully shared with her audience never lacked in calories or cholesterol.
